Eveson 'Last of the Summer of Love' LP sampler
Producer, DJ and artist extraordinaire Eveson has posted a couple of tracks from his forthcoming LP 'The Last Summer Of Love'. He has chosen to use the Liquid V imprint instead of his own Channel 82 label (hoping he will still get to do the vinyl sleeve artwork!). From these two tracks we can expect Eveson's LP to mix it up in terms of speed and style. 'Time Flow' holds true to his 170 liquid style combining steel drums with precision breaks and moving vocals from Jo-s. "Bluebird and Powder" demonstrates the downtempo end of his music; jungle style breaks are set elegantly against hypnotic vocal repetitions and weighty bass. The LP is set for release for some time in spring, so keep your ears to the ground for further information on this one!

MEDILP007- Goth Trad 'New Epoch' LP
Preview clips of Goth-Trad's forthcoming 'New Epoch' LP.
"New Epoch is by far and away Goth-Trad’s most complete piece of work to date, showcasing what he is has learnt in his years of producing, touring, playing live and remixing. The album features eleven superbly and delicately crafted tracks. From the opener Man In the Maze full of beautifully dark, emotional strings and pulsating, mesmerizing groove to the intense synthesizer stabs and pure dance-floor mayhem of the Mirage - one of the strongest tracks that has been firing in heavy rotations from Mala and Kode9 - to the title track New Epoch which defines a producer digging through different styles, experiences and cultures to find himself now one of the most unique artists within the scene and beyond."
Release on Deep Medi 6th February 2012.
Read the Resident Advisor interview for a deeper insight into the creative inspiration behind Goth Trad's new album.

DIFF011 Arkaik 'Trauma EP' Diffrent
Nice little preview of Arkaik's forthcoming 'Trauma EP'. Really diverse set of tunes on this one; favourite has to be the transformer bass line that powers 'Turncoat'.
"Leonard was kinda flat out for almost most of the winter of 2011, but for some reason the neck kept twitching. Meanwhile, back over in the UK, that sticky bass creator, Peter Arkaik was in the studio letting out his bad moods and stress relief over the EP project. The poor pink giraffe was almost traumatised by the renegade bassline's floating around on the halftime giraffestep track 'Turncoat', so much that the on site veterinary nurse was rushed over to the diffrent HQ to deal with the matter. While in the studio, she noticed Leonard was getting shaken up quite a bit due to Jekyll constantly trying to get busy with Arkaik working to get the collaboration 'Vertebrae' finished, while having MCXL throwing down all his toughest lyrics down to lay over the 'Headskill' track. All in all, we could cut a long story short, and say this EP has been quite a 'TRAUMA'"

Magnum- All Over Me EP
"After the widespread success of PNTS001 (Visionistʼs ʻMr. 67ʼ), the South London based imprint returns with another hard hitter in Magnumʼs ʻAll Over Me E.P.ʼ Fresh from recent moves on Nightshifters, Gradient Audio, Soukouch Ethnik and Inhale including a remix of Canblaster, the Puerto Rican producer has quickly built up much notoriety in his home country and is beginning to develop a following in the UK with numerous plays from Rinse FMʼs Scratcha DVA and Randomer.
The title track of this latest excursion is as much a robust 808/909 dance floor mover as it is an all out, arms in the air, hairs on the back of your neck serotonin overload. Its winding arpeggiated synths, lush pads, and tear-jerking vocals show Magnum to be an artist of meticulous attention to detail. On the b-side, ʻDenseʼ is a straight up banger. Crafty bass deployment, rustic synth chords and informed jungle referencing all contribute to what has got to be one of the hardest hitting tracks this winter. Also on the b is the French Fries remix of ʻDenseʼ. As we all know anything the Parisian touches turns to gold and this is no exception. Taking Magnumʼs original concept and stripping it back he adds a touch of grime into the melting pot, à la Slimzee sets circa 2001, and deals with the low end as only one of the finest bass operators would." (stholdings)
Also XLR8R have an exclusive remix of 'All Over Me' from London duo Monster Playground its not going to be on the EP so grab it while you can!
Tessela- D Jane/Channel

Maribou State- Olivia EP (Preview Mix)
Naming themselves after possibly the most ugly creature in the animal kingdom may have been a mistake (the cuddlier caribou would've made more sense). Their music on the other hand is most definitely not; Maribou State set the bar in producing beautifully crafted atmospheric bass-music. They have announced their second E.P. entitled 'Olivia' available on Fat! records in February. Here is a little two track blend from the forthcoming E.P. Also have a listen to their December mix on the Fat! sound cloud.

Mount Kimbie- Electronic Beats (Slices 3-11)
Mount Kimbie talk about their past, present and future whilst on the hunt for a new studio space. The video is a section from the Electronic beats series of compiled short documentaries labelled Slices. Slices DVDs are available from the Electronic beats website for 8 euros. Electronic beats features a multitude of artists from different musical backgrounds and corners of the world. Its a great source for finding new electronic music in a scene which is dominated by UK artists (probably should have picked a video that demonstrated this...)
Keep an eye on their website! http://www.electronicbeats.net
